Yearly exams are recommended to ensure optimum skin health. Regular self exams at home are also encouraged. If you ever have any questions or concerns regarding your skin health, please contact us. We are happy to serve you.

Many people suffer from extreme sweating, even up to 5 times more than necessary or normal. Botox® treatment may now be an answer for patients with severe sweating of the underarms, hands, or feet caused by hyperhidrosis, the medical term for excessive sweating due to overactivity in the body’s cooling system. This FDA-approved procedure offers up to six months of continuous relief in many cases and is covered by most insurance companies. Dr. Anjali Chuttani and Dr. Paul Rolincik are both certified to treat hyperhydrosis using Botox® Cosmetic. If you are interested in learning more please speak with your clinician. As many as 7.5 million Americans live with psoriasis, a non-contagious autoimmune disease that causes the body to speed up the growth of skin cells. Dr. Steven Ugent is highly experienced at treating psoriasis, utilizing UVA and UVB phototherapy and new biological drugs. Treatment can reduce or eliminate symptoms, allowing you to manage the disease and live in good health. Click here to lear more about psoriasis.

Photodynamic Light Therapy (PDT) using Blu-U® light is a new and effective treatment for precancerous lesions or actinic keratoses. This procedure is extremely effective and may cause fewer side effects than other, older treatments. Blu-U® light is also an effective therapy for acne in patients who desire treatment with no systemic medications. Both of these procedures are done by our staff in our cosmetic suite. For more information or to see if these treatments are right for you, speak with your clinician.

Liquid Nitrogen may be used to remove suspicious areas.

Skin cancer is a very real fear for many people. At Dermatology Associates, P.C. our offices are equipped as surgical suites, allowing us to perform most biopsies and excisions of suspicious and known cancerous lesions on site. Your clinician will give you detailed instructions on preparing for your visit and caring for the treated area after the procedure. We also encourage you to speak to your clinician or an expert in our Aesthetics & Cosmetics Suite about proper skin cancer prevention and sun protection.

Dermatology Associates, P.C. has expanded our in-office contact dermatitis and patch testing, keeping you out of hospital labs. Dr. Randy Ugent in our Foxboro Office can assist you with your  patch testing needs.

Evaluation of Specimens

More is seen under the microscope.

Evaluation of our patients’ specimens from a biopsy or surgical excision is performed in-house by our own Dr. Jayaraman or by Dermpath New England, where all physicians are also double-board certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology. This ensures that reports are read accurately and within the important clinical context of the individual patient. Please note that a separate fee for the processing and interpretation of your biopsy specimen is billed to you, or, if applicable, to your insurance provider. This is not included in the fee for your office visit.
