Vitalize Peel ®
The Vitalize Peel® is a very superficial peel designed to improve the texture and appearance of your skin. This peel brings the benefits of alpha-hydroxy and other peeling agents in a unique blend to provide a strong but gentle treatment that is appropriate for all skin types. After one peel you will notice an improvement of your skin's texture and tone, lessening of fine lines, and a healthier, more youthful appearance.

• Are there different types of peels? Yes. Dermatology Associates uses a peel that is effective but is safe and very gentle on the skin.

• Is the procedure painful? You will feel a moderate tingling sensation for several minutes after the solution has been applied. Dermatology Associates uses a special cooling device during the procedure to minimize this sensation.

• What do I do after the treatment? Your skin may look and feel like a mild windburn fo the next two to three days prior to skin peeling. Adter 48 hours a slight flaking may occur. Rarely, peeling may last up to two weeks. You should always use a daily sunscreen, but be certain to apply sunscreen like our Elite Sunscreen SPF30 with zinc oxide for at least a week after treatment to protect your skin from sensitivity to sunburn. You will receive detailed after care instructions at your appointment.

• How many peels will I need? Although a single peel will improve the skin and give it a healthy glow, the Vitalize Peel® is gentle enough to use every three weeks to achieve the maximum benefit.
